DVD Architect 5.2 - Bug

Hi there. I hpe everything's OK around here after a long time. Now I've got a serious problem with this software. I'm trying to author a simple DVD, it is almost a playlist featuring a menu at the end showing a "restart" button. The window Project Overview shows me all the files there, such as follows:

dvd icon
intro (dvd starts here) - end action: link (movie_beach)
movie_beach - end action: link (movie_city)
movie_city - end action: link (movie_diving)
movie_diving - end action: link (movie_waterfalls)
movie_waterfalls - end action: link Main Menu (empty button)
Folder
Menu
empty button (shows menu name)
button restart (restarts the whole thing).

The way things were done here, DVD should start playing automatically (next button working all the time) and at the end the Menu would pop up on the screen, but nothing works. Let's see it:

The properties window shows that all the end actions for each item is OK. Same thing happens clicking on "toggle display of end actions" on the project overview window. The preview also shows that everythig is working fine. But the thing is, after burning the disc, the next button doesn't work, the clips are played in a different order, if not, the last time I've tried, the disc does not play at all.

One more thing, clicking on "toggle display of end actions" shows all the links are OK and green, but clicking on each one shows a different end action on the properties window. That's very weird. It doesn't do anything fixing the correct end action this way (clicking on each clip). I've also tried inserting a playlist and linking it to the "restart" button as well as removing the links. Again, nothing works. Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In a setup like this, the files are burned to the disk in a physical order that may not be the same as your PLAY order. When burned to disk the NEXT button will go to the file next on the Disk physically.

If you have DVDA (not the Studio version) you can set the Physical order of the files on the disk to match your play order.

That would be the best place to start. This is not a bug, this is the way the DVD standard works.

Thanks for taking time to respond, Dave. So how can I do it? If it's not a bug it seems I forgot how to use the software. Can you please help me out with this? The files are in this physical order (I guess so), from top to bottom. Cheers,
Mark.

If you are using DVDA Pro, look under FILE>ORDER TITLES.

This is the order that the files will be placed on the disk, not related to the order of your playlist. You can re-order the titles to match your playlist and then the NEXT button will function as you expect.

Thanks again for taking time to respond. I knew I had forgotten something. In fact, I reauthored the whole thing a few hours ago and now it seems to work (at least previewing using Media Player Classic and Power DVD). But since I've burned an old DVD+RW, my Sony DVD Player is saying CANNOT. I'll buy another bunch of new DVD+RW and see if it works. Thanks again for your precious help.
Cheers,
Mark.
