Subject:Adjusting Beat

I've had SF for some time, but haven't used it except for very basic things. Now I have rap music to which I need to assign a beat. The rap loop that I want to use doesn't match the vocal. Is there some way to adjust the beach without changing the pitch?

You can, using one of the time stretch methods, but Acid is the application for looping and beatmapping.

Can you please tell me if Acid 8 will be ok or do I need Pro7 to do the job?

You can download trial versions of each and run them side-by-side.
The standard version of Acid ($70) is pretty powerful.
Also the Acid forum is pretty helpful.
