Subject:Loop fade error - TERRIBLE clicking - back to 2.0?

I was using ACID 3.0c last night and found that on one loop when I used the fadeout tool (where you drag the end of the loop to the left to fade it out) I found that I got a click when the fade out started regardless of the position or the fade out type.

Also, when I change volume or fx sends while the songs is playing (you know standard mixing things) the whole mix clicks like crazy. This is just totally unacceptable. I know they transferred the Vegas mixing code to ACID but Vegas doesn't do anything like this. I was starting to think that ACID 2.0 is looking real good right now. It's more music working with it without all those freaking clicks.

And this isn't a processor speed issue. It happens with 4 tracks of loops on a dual PIII-550 Xeon processor. I mix 32 track Vegas projects on this thing and it's a monster.

Could you provide some additional system information so we are able to look into this?-
memory, OS, sound/video cards, etc.

Thanks!

Also make sure that you have installed the updated version of Acid 3.0, version 3.0c. Updates are available here:

Same here, I get clicks and pops when I paint an event while the song is playing. Weird......

I was getting all the pops and clicks ALL THE TIME in 3.0. I ran across a possible solution while reading one of the posts on stuttering, so I gave it a try and it seems to have solved most of the noise problem - I increased the playback buffering found in audio preferences to 1 second from the default buffer, which I think was about .25 seconds. I still get a small pop every now and then on certain kinds of loops - but each of them is from an old 2.0 file. Don't seem to have any in a newly constructed 3.0 file - so far.
