I have a vocal track, recorded in Acid Pro 7 adequate but a little low, need normalising - so I right click on event to Switches / Normalize but no such choice - only Mute and Lock. It is also recorded only on the right track of stereo, so I look for Channels / Right only, as has always been in Vegas, and there's no Channels function. So I take the same original vocal track into Vegas, Normalise it and make Mono Right channel only, then render to a new file to bring back into Acid. All settings, all wav files and project properties in Acid and Vegas, are set to 44.1 khz 16 bit - standard audio CD settings. When I put the rendered audio into Acid, it plays slower and is 18 seconds longer in duration The same two files in Vegas are exactly the same length. Something in Acid is causing this - I seem to have missed something obvious, but can't find it .... any ideas?? Again, if this were in Vegas I could Ctrl-drag edge to squeeze it back to its original length - wish all these functions were in Acid. Message last edited on8/18/2011 11:56:19 PM byPeterWright. |

.... 90 minutes later I've found that the oldest IT solution still works. I turned it off then on again, and now the wav two files are the same length! |
