Which is better of the two? I've seen the vegas chart but it really doesn't give too much info out.

Hello,

Vegas Audio is a great program, but it's a multitrack recording software, not a looping software. Acid is what you should get if you want to create mixes from prerecorded loops or samples. Vegas is more for recording multiple tracks at once.
But if you play instruments Both programs would be great. Also Acid will automaticaly sync all the tracks together Vegas does not.
See ya, Rockit

In addition to Rockit's info, just thought you should know that a "lite" version of Vegas comes with ACID Pro 3.0, so you'd sort of have the best of both worlds. Vegas LE does have limitations (a maximum of eight tracks at once, for example), but these can be gotten around with mixing a full project down to one track if you're in a pinch.

SF--Now my understanding is you recommend against any non-loop audio/one-shots/MP3's existing in Acid at the same time you're midi-syncing to Vegas LE with audio content, right? Important to clarify for the user. And the midi-syncing w/Vegas is done via the supplied midi router, correct?
