Using Personal Orchestra acoustic bass, and cello patches. I cannot get the cello level more than about 20dB below the bass level, with full trimmer vol up full and note-ons pulled right up top. Is the Cello patch on Garritan ridiculously quiet, me, or have I got some Acid problem ? geoff Message last edited on8/5/2011 2:33:47 AM byGeoff_Wood. |

I can control the cello's volume relative to the bass just fine. Thoughts: -Are you using the latest ARIA player engine? (NOTE: Do NOT uninstall ARIA for ACID Pro if you're using that; just install the ARIA update and insert ARIA Player instead of ARIA for ACID Pro from now on.) -Related to above: Are you using ARIA for ACID Pro or the full-on Personal Orchestra 4? -Check to ensure that if you're using the "keyswitch" type instruments that the cellos aren't, say, set to "sustain and short mutes", which will give you a much different flavor. -Make sure the modulation wheel is set in the ARIA player itself; modulation controls a particular instrument's overall volume in Garritan's libraries. The wheel's settings are independent for each instrument. (e.g., The mod wheel full tilt on basses but when you click on the cellos, it may be half that.) Iacobus |
