Subject:Disable MIDI Beat Clock

I'm experiencing MIDI feedback looping. My VST plugin is randomly sustaining notes while I play my keyboard alongside my pre-recorded guitar tracks in Acid. How do I disable MIDI Beat Clock? Any other suggested solutions to this problem? My version is 6.0 - build 81.
