Subject:rewire not working

Acid does not see ableton live under the virtual synths.
Ableton does recognize rewire and shows that it is running in
slave mode when opened after acid.

If I run acid as a slave, no problems.
I need to also be able to run acid as master.

What am I missing?

Running on windows 7

What version of Live are you running?

I am using the current version of live 8.
