What is your current setup?

I use two M-Audio Sound Cards, and a mixer, a guitar amp, a J-Station amp modeler, microphones, a Surround Sound 300watt amp, internal and external multitrack recorders, and several different software programs. But if you just want to record sound in, you can plug Mics and Guitars directly into your sound card with adapters.

See ya, Rockit

What's your sound card and budget, that's a good start.
