I have SF 5.0b, it seems we now have v.5.0d which can be downloaded as recommended in another post by SF representatives. The question is: Should I unistall SF first and install the new version or just install over the previous? In this case will it still recognize the mp3 reg. and all the other previous setups? I've seen different recommendations on this matter... Thanks, Jtelles |

If you uninstall Sound Forge 5.0 first you will need to re-register the app. Depending on what other Sonic Foundry software you have install may have to register the MP3 plug in as well. If you install Sound Forge 5.0d on top of the 5.0b version you should not have to re-register anything. If you happen to have trouble with Sound Forge 5.0 later on you can always reinstall the program then. |

I did just that, installed over the previous SF5.0b and it went nice and smoothly without need to re-register anything... Thanks, JTelles |
