I cant install my sound cards in this computer and don't even want to keep it ,but was told they are all built this way now? What do I do buy a new soundcard that is pci express1X and throw out my delta 1010lt and emu 0404? Now I've seen windows alert stating SF9 is incompatible! I'm on a tight budget and need a quick answer so I can return this computer if this is my problem, or am I expecting to much for my stuff to stay compatible for a few years at least? |

To my knowledge, SF10 is the minimum version that will run on Windows 7. I didn't want to leave SF8, but my IT guy upgraded us to Windows 7, so I didn't have a choice. As far as hardware goes, you can still find motherboards with PCI slots that will accommodate your Delta1010. However, eventually PCI slots will go the way of the Dodo. More than one or two per board is becoming very rare. Rob. |

I've been running SF9 on Windows 7 64-bit for about six months now with absolutely no issues. |

I'm still running 4.5 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit without issues. Message last edited on7/14/2011 7:23:12 PM bykryten. |
