I know there's been some discussion by those using a MacBook Pro with Vegas on a Windows partition. I just bought an "Ultra High Performance HDMI switcher" from Amazon for $11, ran an HDMI-to-DVI adapter (another $7.99) into my main Dell monitor, then a "mini-displayport-to-HDMI adapter" ($13) from my MBP into the switcher. For $32, I press a button on the switcher and my Vegas or FCPX editing is occurring at my familiar desk/large Dell monitor with a very familiar physical workflow for my brain.
