Other people have reported similar problems with VP10e but I have a Windows 7 64-bit and Vegas 10e 64-bit and both of my internal Blu-ray burners are recognized and available from within Vegas:
LG GGW-H20L and LG WH10LS30

Sony if you're reading this here's a clue:

Only one of my 2 bluray burners is recognized by 10E. The one that is not was also not seen by DVD Architect UNTIL I unchecked "use legacy drivers" in the burner setup in DVDA. So now DVDA sees both but Vegas 10E does not.

Are you burning a 3d disk?

It seems that SCS has placed a damper on 3D disk burning. If your project properties are set for 3D then you will not be able to burn a disk (your burner will be greyed out).

You can burn the 3D prerendered iso file that you render in 3D in tools>burn BluRay.

The trick is you have to shut off the properties stereoscopic 3D setting and list it as off. Once you do that you will see your drives again. After the render to iso Vegas doesn't need to be in 3D mode to burn the iso file. You can also burn the iso file in DVDA or any other bluray burning application. Too bad Sony did this.

Also, there are many people who think this is caused by another hardware fault. But if it only happens in Vegas 10e then it is the fault of a limitation and bug in the 10e version. If you have 10e and see the drives you obviously don't understand the problem. More than likely you are in 2D timeline mode. :) This bug only shows up in properties 3D mode.

bastinado- thanks for your complete description of the issue you have. It seems according to your fix in DVDA that you have a legacy driver issue. There is a setting in Vegas Preferences general list to check off that. Please look for it. I've seen it there but never had to use it. You may need to reboot Vegas for it to take affect. Good luck with that.

10.0e 32-bit under XP SP3 sees my LG external Blu-ray drive (BD-RE BE06LU10).

10e was not seeing my Blu-ray drive in the Burn Disc dialog even though Project Properties were set to 2D. After reading DonLandis's post about the Legacy driver setting, I looked around Vegas Options/Preferences and found it in the "CD Settings" tab. "Use Legacy Disk Drivers" is the last line under "Advanced". Un-checking it made my drive appear.

I haven't tried to burn a disc so I don't know whether un-checking the option has any other unintended effect.

Well it seems I was hasty in my remarks about sloppy coding. Never had this issue arise until version E - and I would have never thought to look under the CD preferences in the options panel.

My apologies to the SCS code jockey's :)

Don, thanks for the valuable contributions. I too would never have thought to look on the CD tab for the legacy driver checkbox. Unchecking this now allows vegas to show both my bluray burners.

However, the legacy driver issue is nothing special - I have not installed any drivers that were not installed by microsoft during windows installation. I'm using win7x64.
