A dead Horse? I hope not...

I read a post somewhere asking motion paths in Vegas, but it was back in 2007 when the post was created.... and there was no methods of motion path in vegas at that time...

I guess my question is now that we are in 2011 Vegas Pro 10, is laying down a motion path possible in Vegas Pro 10? My understanding of a motion path is you generate a path and tie the element to that path acroos the timeline.
I moethan likely have my terminology all jacked-up but I'm hoping someone knows what I'm "trying" to say.....

Thanks

I don't think you can do this exactly.

Have you looked into using the pan/crop tools and keyframing? (the manual should be able to help you figure it out... it is pretty good)

I have, and I have also accomplished it this way.... it just seems like it would be easier to be able to draw out motion paths and then have the video element attached to it..... kind of like a rollercoaster on a track.
Oh well, if it's impossible maybe one it will be.

I do currently use keyframing...too much of it if you ask me.....

thanks though...

In Vegas 4 & earlier all motions were displayed in paths so it was a lot easier to see. After 4 they removed the path display. You couldn't make the paths, you would just see how stuff would move.

I'd like if Vegas had motion path ability. I'm sure it could be done via a plugin since it's just a bunch of X/Y/Z coord's. Make a feature request. :)

That's sucks to hear..... I'm not sure why companies take away optons when they simply could just give the user an enable/disable option.

To see the motion path and to adjust any given part of it would be great.

A features request, sure.

I agree, that is one of my most wanted features. I must now go outside of Vegas
to perform the task.

I'd gladly pay for an upgrade if it had the ability.
