I have gone over the "how to set up your device" thing three or four times and I am sure it is connected right, but the external MIDI keyboard (a Casio CTK-551) will not play the Soft Synth that comes with the program. Is this a clue? When I go to the preferences and choose MIDI, it sees my USB-to-MIDI cable as a "USB Audio Device". I know this because if you plug in the cable after you start the program, it won't see it. The instructions for the cable says it's Plug and Play, but it also came with some piano lesson software, which it says is a bonus (as if it can work with anything). |

Did you choose the MIDI interface for input when routing the MIDI track to the soft synth? (You can do this at the track level.) Ensure the MIDI keyboard is transmitting on the same channel as your MIDI track. Iacobus |
