I wanna axe two qwextions... Is a special CD burner required to burn high fidelity? I have Plextor's SCSI's and I want to know if I can burn HiFi CD's at 24/96. Just what is required? Plextor has not responded to my requests. Also... anyone using the Creamware Luna 2 or Pulsar II? I am wondering how well Sound Forge 5.0 works with their hardware because I ordered the Pulsar II with Z-Link interface and a Luna 24/96 I/O box. It is a 6-DSP card and I'm wondering if Sound Forge uses ASIO 2.0, VST or MME, and how well they play together in Win ME. Cubase VST/32-5 is supposedly able to run their VST in the hardware DSP's, but I'm already very familiar with using Sound Forge and I would prefer to keep using it if possible. Thanks, head_spaz |

The redbook standard of a CD is 44.1Khz 16 bit Stereo Audio. The only way to burn a 24/96Khz audio file to CD is to burn it as a CDrom Wave file. If you want 24/96 audio, then you're gonna have to purchase a DVD burner and start burning DVD's. These are only about $800 now. |

Thanks for the input. I was thinking along those lines anyway. |
