i have soundforge 5.0...and i cannot save as an mp3..there is no option for me to do so.

i don't think i have the mp3 plugin...but when i go to the plugins folder....there is an "mp3" plugin there!!....if do not have it...where can i get the mp3 plugin?!?..i'm lookin all over for it!!

You can try manually registering the plug-in files, if they're installed. Open Sound Forge 5 so that its window is showing. Do a search for the following files and drop them on the main Sound Forge window:

mp3plug.dll
mp3rw.dll

This should allow you to unregister (by clicking "No") then re-register (by clicking "Yes") the plug. If this doesn't work, you'll probably need to reinstall Forge. If you do so, uninstall it first.
