there is no option in the "SAVE AS", "EXPORT", "RENDER AS"......there is no option for MP3...the only options i have in "RENDER AS" are:
.aif, .sfa, .w64, .wav............that's IT!...there is no MP3

It's under 'Render as'. In my version, anyway.

djshy... have you tried the scroll bar to the left of the list. Mine defaults to the bottom of the list, and you can't see the mp3 unless you scroll UP. Then you can see the mp3 format.

Depends on what version you have. Some require MP3 plugin software...Level Vibes

i don't think i have the mp3 plugin...but when i go to the plugins folder....there is an "mp3" plugin there!!....if do not have it...where can i get the mp3 plugin?!?..i'm lookin all over for it!!

For starts, please include which version of ACID you are using- say, ACID 3.0 DJ build 284. (You can find the build # on your splash screen or Help >About Sonic Foundry ACID within the app). This makes troubleshooting much easier.

You should be able to find the mp3 plug-in here (assuming you installed to the default):
Program Files\Shared Plug-ins\File Formats
In the file formats folder there should be an MP3 folder. In that folder you should have mp3plug.dll

If for some reason this plug-in did not get installed you try this-
Begin the ACID uninstall utility (you can do this from your start menu or Add/Remove programs)- this will launch the Maintenance Wizard.
-Click Next to go past the first screen
You will get a choice to Repair or Remove. Select Repair. This should fix the missing plug-in.

If it does not- try to uninstall and reinstall.
