Hello can someone help me with this. I've got it up and running and one MIDI track inserted. MIDI IN is 'Auto' MIDI out is 'Device 1 M50 Sound' and i can hear and record stuff, but the M50's sounds all seem to sound metallic and tinny. Also any soft synth loaded up just crashes the entire project and takes me back to desktop........i've posted this on the Korg forums as well, but just seeing if anyone has the same set up etc....thanks |

Please fill out your system specifications in your user profile. What are you trying to do? Record MIDI? Playback MIDI to your Korg? Playback MIDI to a soft synth? When you say "any soft synth", can you provide some examples of soft synths that are crashing? If you load a midi file to ACID's time line and route it to the Korg, do you hear the Korg? How are you listening to the output of the Korg? When recording midi from the Korg, do you have the Korg set for local control? Peter Message last edited on6/14/2011 8:31:38 PM bypwppch. |

Hi Peter thanks for replying. I have sorted the problem now, the midi filter settings on the global tab of the korg were unchecked, i needed to have them checked, not quite sure what this means but it sorted the problem. The DLS soft synth worked but really wanted to use the M50 Editor, will try this at a later stage as i might not need it. What i am trying to do is record myself playing in midi then add a midi drum file on another track using the M50's internal sounds to change kits etc, i dont want to use the GM sound set if thats poss, tried changing a midi file within the M50 and as soon as a changed the drum kit from a standard GM one to a M50 power kit all the cymbals played in reverse!. Also want to add an audio track to sing vocals. Is it poss to route the midi track to an audio track and record the output ? |
