Is there any way to limit the effects of the Sony Noise Reduction plug-in to ONLY effect frequencies below 1,200 Hz ?

After you get your sample of "clean" noise, look at the noise print. You can adjust it node by node. Not fun, but that's how it works.

Or how about this?
For safety's sake, make a copy of your audio in a new file. Run a low-pass filter on your new file to completely kill everything above 1200 Hz. Make a noiseprint from the resulting audio. Save it as a preset. Undo all changes to the new file. Run noise reduction using the preset. See if it sounds the way you want it to sound.
