Marker/Playlist Option?

Kraznet_UK wrote on 6/7/2011, 2:46 AM
In Sequoia there is a marker list window. This gives you a list of all the markers in the project and clicking on one of the marker names makes the play cursor jump to that position in the project. Is there a similar function in Vegas Pro?
Any help will be be much appreciated.

Thanks

The Edit Details window will show the markers (Show: Markers) but I know of no way to move the cursor to the selected one. A lot of times I find the final little touch is missing - a double click on the header or even a "Select" in the right hand popup menu would great.

You can use the top 0 to 9 keys to move the cursor to the relevant cursor. You can also use the Ctrl+Left ot Ctrl+Right to move to the next or previous cursor.

Hope that helps

Willem.

I know it's not as elegant, but in the Edit Details display:

Double-click on the subject marker

Strike Control + C to copy the contents of the cell

In the Cursor Position counter box in the lower right corner of the screen, double-click and Control + V.

The cursor moves to that position.

Though it is possible, I would be more likely to start play and click on the chapter markers until I found the right one. Unless, there were hundreds of them.

The easiest thing is to type in the number of the marker. The cursor will move it to it.

Remember to use the numbers at the top of the keyboard and not the ones on the numeric keypad.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions and help .It's much appreciated. Ctrl plus left and right cursor is useful. Using numbers 1 to 9 is ok unless you have a long project with about 30 or 40 markers which is the case with the project I'm working on at the moment.

Thanks

The numbers work up to 99 in V9 and later. I don't know about earlier versions.

Just type in 40 and it will go to 40.
