If you would like to continue to use CD Architect I would recommend that you purchase a drive that is supported. Here is a link to the list of supported drives. http://www.sonicfoundry.com/CDArchitect/drvsupp.asp?Nav=0. If your drive is not one of the models on our web page you may or may not be able to get it to work. If you go under the options and then the select drive you would then want to choose the advanced tab. Once there for Drive Type you would select the SCSI MMC Compatible for SCSI drives and the ATAPI MMC Compatible for IDE drives. Then for SCSI Host you would choose your SCSI card from the drop down (for SCSI drives) or the option that starts with ESDIXXX (X being a numeric string) for IDE drives. Then for SCSI CD-R you would choose your drive. Again if your drive is not one of the supported ones for CD Architect you may or may not be able to get your drive to work properly.

I just got a 9900ci and have no problems using CDA with it under Windows 2000 (SP2).

I just followed the usual method of setting up for an ATAPI MMC Compatible drive.
