Webcam light comes on when render finished?

So I've noticed with 10c, whenever a render finishes the bright blue light on my webcam comes on. Great, I think, a nice easy-to-spot notice when a render completes, kind of like raising the flag on a mailbox.

Except that it doesn't go out until I either exit the program, or at least close the file.

Why is this? If it's a feature, then I think my closing of the render results message box should turn it off. Or at least playing or editing the timeline.

If it's a bug, then why is the software trying to access either the camera or its microphone when a render completes? (The webcam mic is the default recording device, and it will turn on the light even if only the mic is being accessed.)

It's Sony's new Facial Expression Recognition Customer Satisfaction Survey (FERCSS). They're using the webcam to see the look on your face when the render completes.
Smile = Customer happy...take no action
Frown = Get a patch out

Either that or Madison has been hacked too?

That is funny, my built-in coffee cup holder (disc tray) opens when it finishes the render......
so I can put my finished coffee cup down

Do your desktop icons refresh?

I assume it occurs because resources have been released.
Don't think it's because of Sony software. Which OS version?

Haven't checked my desktop icons, since I usually have a million things open when rendering (thanks to 6-cores). It's definitely Vegas - the light ONLY comes on when a render finishes (not at any other time when editing), and goes out if I close Vegas OR close the VEG I had open in Vegas.

The only other software (besides the obvious) that has ever made my webcam light come on is my FTP software as it initializes, and only for a split second.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, using the 64-bit version of Vegas. Besides for this, I've been loving it - zero problems.
