Hello,
I have Vegas Video 2.0 and Acid Pro 3.0. For some reason, nothing happens when I select help->Contents and Index.

Any idea how I can get my help back? (Or why it's gone?)
Thanks,
Jeff W

This should fix it:

1. Go to "C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry Setup". This folder may be on a drive other than C:\ depending upon where the program was installed.

2. Locate a file called "acid.cab". It may be called "acid" if your file extensions are not showing.

3. Double-click on acid.cab. Within acid.cab, there are many files. The files you're looking for are "acid.hlp" and "acid.chm".

4. Place "acid.hlp" and "acid.chm" into "C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Help Files" and "C:\Program Files\Shared Plug-Ins\Help Files. Again, these folders may be on a different drive depending on where the program was installed.

There are two files that you need Acid.hlp and Acid.chm. For Vegas the files are Vegas.hlp and Vegas.chm. These files can be found in the Acid.cab or Vegas.cab. If you download the program or an update to it you can find this cab file at C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry Setup\Acid or Vegas. If you have the cd version of the software and did not download an update the cab file can be found at [CD-ROM drive]:\Setup\English\Acid or Vegas. Open the cab file and extract the two aforementioned files to C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-Ins\Help Files.
