Subject:How to split left and right channels to separate mono files?

Sound Forge supports merging two mono files to left and right channels of a stereo file. How about going the other way - separating a stereo file as two mono channels, one for left and one for right? Seems like it should be a Save As option? Can't find this anywhere. Help?

Very easy, just select either the right or left channel by itself, then simple drag that selection out of the data window and drop it. Do this for both channels and you will have 2 mono files. Or you can do the same thing by doing a copy and paste to new file, or you can do a copy of the entire file and then goto to the File-properties-format and convert it to mono which gives you the option of source of "Left", "Right", or "Both". The first method is the quickest and easiest.
