Subject:Beatmapping Changes Loop Pitch

I'm using Acid Pro 7 and I've noticed with a number of loop libraries (from several manufacturers, including Sony) that when I change a loop from "loop" mode to "beatmapped" mode, the file changes pitch. It appears to possibly have something to do with what Key the project is in. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening? With some of the non-Sony libraries, the tempo info is incorrect and I need to be able to use those files in beatmapped mode and would like to not have to fight unwanted pitch changes. Thanks! EDIT: Ok, I've got it figured out... it seems to be related to what Key the project is in... in loop mode the pitch gets shifted to fit the project key and in beatmapped mode the clip appears to revert to it's original key. I'm a bit of a musical novice so I haven't experimented with the Key feature much, guess I will now. Message last edited on4/9/2011 2:52:53 PM byriceprod. |
