I just started a project where I'm editing/color correcting video portions in Vegas on both a PC and a Mac. In addition, photo images will likely be edited in Photoshop on my Mac laptop and then imported into my PC desktop Vegas timeline. The issues caused by monitors differences aside (glossly Apple laptop screen vs. Dell LCD monitor), I've read that since Snow Leopard, the gamma difference between a Mac and a PC is now the same. Are editors that use both OS's finding the gamma difference now to be negligible and you're not even having to account for this now? Do you set any color management profiles in Photoshop differently when editing them on the Mac for photo images that may subsequently be imported into a PC Vegas timeline?
