I´m recording my band using the Sounforge. I already recorded drums and am recording bass. Even though I have all the plugins I can´t manipulate and now how much of an effect I can put on the bass for example. I will take days to learn each effect and how much of it. Is there anywhere I can understand more on each effect and hear samples of different amounts of effect on a track? I need help, please. Thank you |

A crash course in effects is no good if you really want to understand them. Start with some books about recording and audio. Recording books usually cover compression, EQ, normalization, reverb, etc. and can be very comprehensive. If you want to learn about individual DirectX plug-ins, check out www.thedirectxfiles.com. To add to what Mr. Ted posted, we found a great site for general recording techniques that include compression, eq, mastering, etc. Click here to check it out. |
