Hi, I have a few songs that have some bad language that I need to edit out. Is there some way to do this in Sound Forge? What I mean by edit is basically put the voice on mute for a second, for lack of a better term. Thank you! |

If you have the master tapes with the individual tracks, no problem. However, if the songs are mixed to stereo, you will mute everything for the duration of the objectional word(s). |

I'm not sure if this will work for final copy recordings but try this.I am assuming you have sf5. Option 1:zoom in,so you can cut out just the word(of course the music will be eliminated also),then find a section of music that you can cut and copy to that section that you eliminated.Option 2:zoom in and click on that section you want to remove and try adjusting your 20 band eq and cut the highs or lows to muffle the vocals.I did this on my master tapes to hide some bad guitar parts and it worked well,if neither of these work, otherwise, there is no way to remove just vocals. |
