Proxy files with US Pro, Scattershot 3D Question

I'm going to be using a laptop to edit an upcoming project. I'm planning on exchanging the AVCHD files I use (from Panasonic GH2) into DV files while editing, as I'll have 3-4 video tracks in Multicamera mode previewing at the same time and I hate watching low-fps previews while trying to determine exactly where to cut.

Does anyone use VASST Ultimate S Pro to create proxies and exchange them back and forth? I read the Ultimate S Pro help guide regarding Media Swapper, and it seems like it'll do the same thing as Gearshift, but I'm slightly confused about the workflow. Any advice would be great.

Also: I just saw this on the VASST website, and hopefully I don't create an instant "hijackable" topic, but does anyone have information on the Scattershot 3D plugin from VASST?

Yes, Ultimate S Pro now has the same capabilities as GearShift. GearShift makes it easier because it's specifically designed for this but you can now set up the same capability with the Render tab and Media Swapper.

We are working hard to make it available very soon. ;-)

Just to be clear (since 3D has many meanings now...) it is a tool to assist with 3D Track Motion to create cubes and circles, etc. of video and some really nice automation, quickly without doing any math (lol). It has nothing to do with the "3D glasses" meaning.

JR,
I was hoping you had a moment to reply. Thanks for your time. Both are exactly the answers I was hoping for.

It appeared that Ultimate S Pro had the same capabilities, but the processes/workflow seemed to be titled differently so I wasn't sure. I'll have to mess around with this a bit.

Regarding Scattershot 3D plugin: I'm glad that it isn't the "3D glasses" meaning; I've been hoping for some time that someone could take the 3D Track Motion capabilities in Vegas and make it less time intensive. The current time required to use the 3D Track Motion doesn't really lend to using it for a paid project. Keep us up to date with the timeline on its release (NAB 2011??); I'll be right there on the VASST website to put it in the cart.
