Subject:Clicks in Recording?

I have been trying to use Soundforge to Record
D8>M Audio Delta Dio 2496>Sound Forge 5.0b (build 162) and I keep getting small clicks introduced to the recording. The are not present on the source DAT and I can't seem to figure this one out. I have all other applications off while recording, I defragged my harddrive, and have basically tried everything I can think of but to no avail. Does anyone have some advice on troubleshooting this problem?

You didn't mention whether you set your soundcard to sync to the clock on your D8? If not, find the place where you set sync for your soundcard and set it to "SPDIF" or whatever type of digital input the D8 is hooked up to. If you don't see a place to set sync, look in Control Panel | System icon | Device Manager Tab | Sound Video and Game Controllers | (your sound card) | (settings). Hope this helps. Regards, Brent
