When I try to sync my Akai DPS 12 recorder to Acid, i get a "skip" in the front of the tracks..I use Acid as the master sending MTC..the Akai waits for the signal from Acid to start recording..the clocks both start running when I press the play button on acid..but the sound to the recorder is delayed a second or two. If I put a measure of silence in front of tracks on Acid, everything syncs..it seems as though it takes some time for both programs to fully sync. ..what is going on here, why can't I set both to sync and have everything start together? |

John, The problem you are experiencing is most likely due to Acid's playback buffering. You should: Lower the size of your playback buffer as much as possible without causing playback problems. This will help to reduce lag when starting playback Insert a blank measure or two at the beginning of your project to allow for a bit of pre-roll before the program and the Akai need to be locked. Hope this helps. |
