Hello everyone, after using the free demo of acid pro 7 I went out and bought Acid Studio 8 2 weeks ago and its pretty simple to use for someone who is new to music software. I am still learning to use all the functions of the software and in search of a MIDI keyboard to use i ended up buying a AKAI LPD8 Drum Pad. The LPD8 software seems confusing and when I enable it on Acid is says the device is unable to allocate memory. For the past 4 days I have been searching all over the internet for help but I can only find help with FL studio. If any one has any information it will be very helpful, and if I left out any important information I'm sorry and please let me know. Thanks. |

Hi Phemy, I don't use Music Studio 8; I use ACID Pro 7. I have a Korg nanoPAD (which is similar to the LPD8 but, of course, not the same) and don't have any problem with it or its software working with ACID. I tried going to Akai's site to see if they had any updated software/drivers but I can't tell since they want me to register with my name and email. :P Akai claims that you operate the device without any software, so try uninstalling the related software and try setting it up in Music Studio again. Note, however, that you possibly won't be able to customize your LPD8 (like changing pad assignments) without the software. HTH, Iacobus |
