Subject:beatmarkers not anchoring properly all the time

i was cruising along fine getting in a groove with the beatmarkers in the AMS 8 trial. i would place them and drag them and they would only stretch the vertical measure markers that were between other markers. now near the end of the song when drug, the beatmarkers are adjusting the vertical lines beyond the anchors on either side of them. what is happening?
