Is it possible to take a project from acid on a pc and open it again in any way as a project or multiple audio tracks (depending on how many audio tracks the other studio can handle)in a studio that uses logic or digital performer or anything on a mac ??? I have yet to experiment as I am in toronto and the other studios are in new york.... I just read up a bit on how it's possible to mix down multiple tracks and export them etc.... could someone please give me some insight on this or how to move in and out of studios....... chris. |

Yes, you would save the project out to individual tracks. Go to Files -> Render As... and choose Macintosh AIFF for file type (though Macs will also read .wav, .aif is probably preferred). Make sure that "Save each track as a separate file" is checked at the bottom of the dialog box. Then you're done. |

Lance, On that note I have something to ask. I record vocals, live guitars, and keys, on top of loops. Probably more than Acid 3 is designed to handle. Am I better off exporting my loops to wave files when done and then doing the live vox and guitars/keys tracking in Vegas LE? Is the Vegas engine more capable than the Acid engine for the number of recorded tracks it can efficiently play? What is the general process for exporting the loops to Vegas from Acid 3 - does it make a difference. I know if I render my effects when I am sending the .wavs over it would help, but does anything else differ? And lastly, should I, if possible just sync Acid 3 and Vegas LE together for the most flexibility? Thanks, Jim |
