I believe I have tried both suggestions given, about creating a "slowed down" effect to my tracs. Neither one appeared to have worked. It still sounds the same. I'm looking for the popular "dragging" effect almost. The one that makes the vocalist sound like they are on valium............serious sloooooooowwwwwww mmoooootion. There has got to be a simple way.....HELP !!!!!!!! Sin-D |

Hello. I purchased Acid pro 3.0, which came bundled with Sound Forge Studio, so sometimes I visit this forum to see if I might learn something. I noticed your post, and in Acid there is a beatmapper you can use to do this. You just select the wave or mp3 file you want, and Acid will ask you if you to beatmap the song. Just answer yes to everything. After that, you'll see a track that is shown at the top, just point your cursor at the beginning of the track, hold the mouse button down, and drag towards the right. There's your song. On the left you'll see the bpm shown of the song, you can change this (up or down) to speed up or slow down your song. After you get it to your liking, render it as a wave, and you're done. I believe there's a demo of Acid Pro for you to try this. I'm not sure if you can do this in SF5.0. Hope this helped. Later... |

What you want to do is time stretch. First select what you want to have effected. Then go to the Process menu and select Time Stretch it's near the bottom. Choose a setting probaly between 150 and 250 percent, otherwise you probably won't be able to understand the voice. Enjoy. Later you can mess around with the mode for variations of this effect. I hope this helps! |
