Remove a portion in the middle of a track?

What are my options to Remove a portion in the middle of a track?

I am new to CD Architect so I am sure there are a couple of ways to do things and I thought it would be good to get some feedback.

I have a wave file that is a track in a CD Architect file I am working on.
I want to remove a few seconds in the middle and I need to crossfade the edit back together.

I could open an external audio editor I am using Sound Forge and edit the original file.

But is there a way to do it non-destructive in CD Architect? Probably there are a few ways.

Thanks.

Make sure Automatic Crossfades is selected in the Options menu.
Split the track in two places at/near the beginning and end of the portion you want to remove. Delete the portion. Slide the remaining portion(s) so that they overlap.
The Help file is your friend.

Thanks.

Another question:

I Saved As an Image File and then opened it in CD Architect to burn the CD - is that the correct process to burn from a saved disk image?

Because it came out with correct IDs and timing but no audio in the tracks.

Also, when I opened the saved image file the CD Artist Text Box is empty even though in the original CD Architect file from which I burned the image there is text in the Artist Text box..?

Also can a saved disk image be burned using other disk burning software or do I always have to use CD Architect to burn the saved disk image?

Better explain what you did a bit better ..... afaik CDArchitect can't save an ISO image.....

Normally it's sufficient to Save As "CD Architect Project File .cdp" as this retains all your original edits, text etc. should you wish to change things later.

I used Save As and selected the wave file option. And then opened this again in CD Architect.

In the manual P32 is says I can render a CD Image File as a wave file. I thought I would be able to burn form this.

I just tried a CD burn direct from my CD Architect file - I selected the create image file before burn. All looks good but I get a CD with burned IDs and correct durations but zero audio in the tracks.
