Subject:The problem with window tabs in SF10...

...is when you have any significant number of files open and maximized, you still end up having to do a lot of clicking to get to certain files, especially if they're buried underneath a dozen others. I don't know if tabbed windows was meant to solve the problem of navigating multiple open files via the Windows menu sub-system in previous versions, but if so, the point is negated by placing tabs at the top and forcing them to scroll out of view when they are buried underneath several open windows.

Furthermore, there's no way to manually re-arrange the tabs. I can't tell you how many times I've tried clicking a tab in SF10 to rearrange it (a habit born from tabbed browsing surfing the web), only to realize that nothing happened.

I hope this is addressed in the next version of Sound Forge, as I routinely work with several dozen open files at once and navigating to the correct one becomes cumbersome. Maybe create a space next to the data window that lists the open files in vertically stacked tabs.

I've been complaining about navigating multiple windows for the past several versions of Sound Forge. The introduction of tabbed windows was a step in the right direction, but it's looking as if even it has its shortcomings.
