Subject:Sound Problems with ACID Posted by: sqwuade Date:8/20/2001 2:20:02 AM I'm trying to record some audio tracks with ACID and am having the following problem. When I record a guitar track over a drum loop (on a seperate track) the drum loop takes on a strange "phase shifter" effect. Also when I overdub a second guitar track the whole song gets a wierd tremelo sounding effect to it. Any ideas? Thanks PS I've got a 1.2 Ghz Athlon system with a Sound Blaster Live sound card.

When you solo the new guitar track, do you hear drums in the backround? This is a phasing effect that can also happen if you leave the mic on while listening back, or are somehow routing the sound through your system twice. Sometimes recording near a mic with really loud headphones can also create this with a bleeding effect. The time it takes the re-recorded sound multipled with the original source in playback creates the phasing effect. Jim
