odd issue in version 10
when i drag a solid color to the timelined from the media generator section bizzare things happen when i chage the color
ex. Lets say a drag a white solid to the timeline.....If i click on the
generated media tab and change the color, the color in the preview window does show the change, but the actual clip on the timline
doesn't change.....This can create problems......Is there a way to
fix this?
THANKS.....

Interesting, I never noticed that before.

any ideas?

It looks like you found another bug :(
I just tried it and it changes if you choose any of the preset colors.
Clicking in the color box shows the first color you click on on both the timeline and preview window but click it again and the timeline icon is locked on the first color, no matter which one you choose.
Choosing a preset color resets it but then it does it again.

There are many bugs in 10c which probably explains why 10d is taking so long. I have multiple media generator bugs. There is one where I close the project and the solid color turns to a video clip when I reopen the project. I also have blackframes where video clips are. It sucks that Vegas has taken this irresponsible turn.

Vegas 64 10c seems more stable on win7 64 than Vegas 32 on win 7 64 . You'll just have to come up with workarounds for the time being or change your editing software.

OK, now Mike do a search on Keyframe and Preset. I did.

Grazie, are you saying that problem is related to this one?
If yes, I'm not sure how.

Not being a programmer, neither do I. But did you do a search?

Not sure exactly what Grazie is hitting at, but if you insert a keyframe at the beginning of the solid media on the TL and one at the end, it does change to match the new color.

Grazie and Kent, this has nothing to do with keyframes but with Pro 10.0c itself.
Do as the OP suggested and drop any solid colour generated media on the timeline, click on a different colour once and the timeline thumbnail and preview window change to match.
Click any colour a second time and the preview window changes but the timeline thumbnail doesn't.
No keyframes were created in this test.

If you move your TL marker anywhere you can click the colors again & they will change. But only once. Doesn't update if you're playing the TL though.

EDIT: this is the first bug I've encountered in V10 yet, My current project has had several generated solid color events but I didn't even notice this. I'm using 10b.
