Yes that portion is done successfully, it brings in all the tracks individually across the tracks pain...
Now let's say it 8 mozart tracks, and you've created a mozart folder in your music folder.
When I go save as I have the option of a dot cbp or dot wave.
When I save it it saves all tracks as 1 long song and that is the problem I wanted to save 8 separate tracks
Does that make sense??

The dialog box in above picture is exactly how to do it - pressing "OK" you should get a dialog asking for target folder and filenale e.g. "CD-1821151565-TRACK02.wav" - here I have no option to save as .cdp, just .WAV.

oh, I just read your post even more carefully - you have not explained very well - you are saying you already have extracted all the tracks & placed in order in CD Architect, and are using "Sava As" for your project - in that case you do have option of .cdp or .wav - and yes it will save that as one long .wav, no other options .... but you earlier already extracted the CD as a list of individual .wav files in the first step - so why can't you use those!

First sorry about the confusion.... How do I save it somewhere??
All that does is open it and cd architect...
Now say I pop the cd out but I wanna be able to play it off of my hard drive how can I save them as tracks???

When I hit the extract audio from cd button And the dialog box you shold comes up When I hit okay I'm not given any options as to where to Save target as do I have some sort of preference switched on or off????

Yes there is a Preference; in Options|Preferences:



now you will get a Dialog box for each track; you can easily rename the files, and specify a folder, at this stage!

Not to complain but I would think cd architect would be able to recognize all the information off Of the cd including the track names???

Because it has no way of knowing what the track names are. It was written before GraceNote (etc) online databases existed for that functionality. Maybe time for an update - SoundForge has that capability, but you do need to be online.

However the main purpose of CDA is to author CDs, not for simply ripping them. Maybe you should be using ExactAudioCopy or some other freeware for your purpose !

BTW all those individual (automatically-named) tracks already exist on your PC in the location specified in Project Properties|Audio|Extracted Audio Folder (probably My Documents by default).

The purpose of the Save As WAV is to save an image of the whole CD that is being authored, to be used in conjunction with a Cuesheet for writing with PQ (track) list. Is is not intended as duplicating the existing 'indiviual wave files' functionality.

Maybe a small read of the Manual (or Help) might be in order ?

That seems odd to me being that both cd's "highway to hell" and "let there be rock" by ACDC List each track by name.... Not hooked up to the internet, But somehow the cds tell cd architect the names of the tracks???? Can someone explain that to me..... Seems gracenote has nothing to do with it

Incidently, Once I save it, it loses the names and creates track 1 track to track 2 etc... why does it lose the track names once I save as?????

There is no guarantee that every CD in the world has CD Text -- it is likely that many do not.
You might want to read the manual.

Be advised that CD Text is a Sony thing. Therefore, when you have learned to burn CDs containing CD Text, many/most software and hardware players do not recognize CD Text, most notably Windows Media Player.
