Well, Now that I have donwloaded the Acid 3 upgrade, it only got worse. Now my songs pop, stop, freeze up, get illegal operations, etc. I already uninstalled and re-installed, plus I had to re-register. Still, nothing but trouble. Nothing like this before the upgrade. My system: 450 MHz 128 Ram 13 Gigs SF, pls help. thanks |

Depending on the complexity of your projects, to effectively run 3.0, you may need to consider upgrading your current computer system. Unfortunately,as software becomes more complex, the demands on your computer will most likely increase as well. I ugraded from ACID 2.0 to 3.0 myself last April. I installed it on my new DAW that I built earlier this year(PIII 700/512MB/IBM 7200 40GD HD). I also installed 3.0 on my former DAW (PII 333/128MB/Maxtor 5400 8GB HD)which I now use primarily as my home "internet" computer. When I attempt to play back some of my ACID 2.0 projects in 3.0 now on my "internet" computer,I will get occassional stutters and dropouts. Now, when I play these same files in 3.0 on my new DAW they playback just fine. I am not at home right now, but isn't there some type of "buffer" setting in ACID 3.0 that you can adjust to maybe compensate for these stutters and/or dropouts? Have you tried this? Billy Buck |

I'm sorry for the troubles. If you are on a deadline, i would go back to the 'a' update until we can figure out what is going on. Thanks, Caleb |
