Subject:Saving multi-track files as multistream mono files

I record classical music as separate tracks in Vegas. Later, when editing, I set levels and optimize for surround sound before renderiing everthing to multistream mono files. I then drag those into Sound Forge for precise editing and to maintain precise timing across all tracks. However, I can find no way to render or save those tracks as mono files which are required for the DTS Surround encoder. As a work-around I select each track and drag it onto the desktop saving it as a separate file.
I suppose the optimum solution would be to have the ability to render the tracks in Vegas to a multi-track Sound Forge format for further editing and finally saving or rendering from Sound Forge to separate mono tracks.
DTS surround audio on CD is astounding!
