I am starting a campaign to get the friendly engineers at Sound Forge who always listen to their customer's requests,to bring back the ACID Tools toolbar in Sound Forge PRO...It was always there up until SF9 and now it has been relegated to a sub menu that is a real PITA to get to in a hurry...The ACID Tools toolbar is fantastic if we are working with loops and the only reason I still have SF9 installed,is to have access to those ACID tools....So please BRING IT BACK ! Thank you...ajw |

Half the tools from the old Acid Tools toolbar are now located on the Navigation toolbar. And since all the toolbars are configurable, you can easily add the rest of the tools from the old Acid Tools toolbar to join them. Simples. Mark |

Yes, you can customize the toolbar (and this is the "official" Sony proposed solution), but unless I am mistaken, you cannot create your own "blank" toolbar and give it a custom name. So you are stuck putting the Acid commands into one of the existing toolbars. If this is the case, then it's preferable to at least have a tool bar named ~"Acid Tools" like we once had. (Big, time-consuming deal to add this to the program, I'm sure!) Second best choice might be to split the commands up and add them to the toolbars which make the most sense like maybe "Selection" for the Selection-manipulation tools (OK why does the toolbar have to be called "Status/Selection"?? Two completely different concepts.) ... and best of luck picking relevant toolbars for the rest of the commands. ...in the absence of the ideal solution, which would be them simply putting in the Acid toolbar, AND letting user create and name their own custom toolbars. I guess we're just supposed to be thankful the commands are still there? |

The ACID Properties metadata window essentially negates the "ACID Properties" button (though it's still available as a button; it'll simply toggle the metadata window). Makes it even better, actually, as you can dock that in any window you want. Doubling, halving, shifting and rotating selections are essential to me, so it's good they're still available. Iacobus |
