Subject:Assigning Instrument Names/Sets to Devices

Since I have had MS I have wondered how to assign program/instrument names to devices instead of using the cryptic 39:0:0 instrument info. I found that there are GM and GS definitions listed in the properties for the soft synth. How do I use those same patch names for external GS devices. When I click on properties for an external device under Program change, it is only blank and does not allow adding or editing.

Am I missing something?

ACID Pro 7 permits you to assign a Device map for such purposes. A number of device templates - including GM/GS - are provided and you can define/make your own.

You assign these to a device through the MIDI Preference page by right clicking on the "Device" column.

ACID Music Studio does not provide this functionality.
