I recently upgraded to Acid MS8 from MS7 and am now having serious sync issues. Almost all tracks are out of sync after about 8 measures. I have tried the various latency, buffer, ASIO settings with varied results. However, at best, it is still not quite right. I had this issue before (maybe MS6?) and it was suggested that the issues was with the Creative sound card drivers. No problems with MS7 but now the problem is back with a vengeance with MS8. Any suggestions as to a decent desktop sound card that will work with MS8? I was looking at the Turtle Beach Montego. Anybody use and/or have any problems with Turtle Beach cards? |

Are you still on XP? Q: if you place two or more loops that we provide across multiple tracks, do the tracks get out of sync, or is this a record against existing tracks sync issue? Peter Message last edited on12/30/2010 3:56:55 PM bypwppch. |

If I understand your specs right you're on a desktop computer, right? Well then, there's a whole host of Firewire and USB 2.0 sound I/O devices that will work way better than any Soundblaster card (which is only really a gamer's card anyway). You may want to try something from MOTU - they have USB2.0, FW and pcie sound I/O devices. And either way you go there's a number of things you can do to optimize your computer for audio work. Turn off system sounds for one, any antivirus programs for another are just a couple. You basically want to stop your machine from stealing processing cycles for things other than Acid audio. Jack |

Yes I'm still using XP. For the most recent project the loops were from AcidPlanet so I guess to answer your question the loops were not recorded by me. I think i finally hit upon the right combination of settings though so the issue appears to be resolved. Thanks for the quick responses. |
