Hello friends, I want to make backup copies of my songs. I do have Easy Cd Creator and a Iomega Zip Drive. What do you all suggest? In what format do I need to save these backups? thanks! Seb |

Hello again, I make backups of my projects and the loops that I can't replace. You just save them just as they are, Acid project files, and you could also use Acid Zip, but that would use more space. See ya |

just burn a disc, cd-r media is quite inexpensive compared to zip discs |

Yeah, I already had both a Zip drive and a CD-RW. I got sick and tired of having to flip-flop so I just took the Zip drive out and kept the CD-RW. (After transferring everything over from Zip to CD, natch.) CD-RW media is faster, now that 8x and 10x CD-RW media is finally filtering out. Great news for those that use packet-writing software and faster CD-RW drives. Iacobus |

so I should just save as a regular Acid file? Should I use Easy CD Creator or just drag the files in Explorer? thanks! |

I personally use Easy CD Creator to archive and DirectCD to do on-the-fly transfers. To make a quick backup, you could zip up your ACID projects and then use DirectCD (which is actually transparent in the background) to move your files from your hard drive to CD via Windows Explorer. HTH, Iacobus |
