Subject:No Serial Number for Acid Music Studio Upgrade

I'm a bit fed up because over a week ago I ordered an upgrade from MS7 to 8 and paid my money. No email arrived to give me my serial number, but I presumed I would use my version 7 number. This was not the case, so I emailed support 3 times now with no reply. Also I spent ages on the telephone which just told me to use the web site. When I use the form on the website for lost serial numbers it just tells me that I have already registered the software or created an account, but no serial number appears.

In the meantime I am unable to use the software.

Can any kind person advise me what to do next please

You serial numbers are listed under your account. Have you looked under My Account | My Software?

and I have filled in the forms there to get it listed, but it doesn't work. just says that I already have an account created an doesn't display the serial number.

Support don't respond to my emails either.
Thanks for suggestion though.

Sadly, the serial numbers don't show up until after registering them, and they can't be registered until you have them. The My Account / My Software is a great resource for *subsequent* serial number issues, but it's of no help at all the first time around.

My Orders is a great reasource, but it's only helpful if you've ordered online through this site, while logged in under your account.

I did buy it through this site when I was logged in, but it still won't show in the my software page or anywhere else, except as an order and a download page.

Frustrating.

Bought this upgrade on the 17th of August and am unable to register since then.

Since then I have sent 4 emails to Sony Support asking for help, but have not had a reply.

This is the worst customer service for a software product that I have ever encountered.

I would flood their inbasket with complaint forms and emails. I would also flood their "Facebook" & "Twitter" pages with the same. I mean really flood them.

If that's what it takes to get their attention, then do it. A reasonable person would expect an issue such as this to be resolved in a day or two. (Electronic purchases are not always glitch free but two weeks with no response is well beyond the norm).

Perhaps any of us who communicate with them should also make the suggestion that serial numbers be displayed on the "my orders" page. That would cover the cases of emails being lost. It's also a nicety supplied by *every other* site i've ever purchased from. Sony Creative Software is the only site i use that doesn't do this.

Thanks for your supportive comments I appreciate it.

I was planning to buy Acid Pro after i had used this for a few weeks but now have gone off that idea.

As a person who has been a performing musician and DJ for 30 years and a DJ I am amazed at the lack of interest in customers.

I am currently writing a review for a National UK DJ magazine with readership in Australia, Canada and the USA. which looks at FL, Cubase LE, Ableton Lite, and Reason Adapted from a DJ perspective. The Sony Acid Studio section will be a somewhat short section except for a description of the lack of support.

I have had the same experience as the original poster; purchased a Sony Soundforge upgrade, no serial number was included, customer support tried with no response, "My Software" shows the purchase order only.

Several e-mails, just nothing, not even a glimmer of a response. Will never buy SONY product again and will inform every person I ever meet to do the same.

There is plenty of competition that would gladly appreciated my business and money.
