Subject:Grouping function in Acid 3.0???

Let me just say that I really like Acid 3.0, because of it's beat mapping capability (which is fairly accurate). As a producer of dance mix CDs, this saves me a lot of time mixing one track into the next. But a HUGE oversight in my opinion is the lack of a group function. If I am working with multiple tracks, get them mixed together, and then discover that I want to add a track somewhere in the middle, it's an incredible pain to manipulate the "downstream" tracks as a group. I could mix-down these tracks, but then I lose the ability to alter the mix at a later date. Any news of a group function being added to 3.0???

I know what you mean, But you can get pretty close with full zoom out, and minimizing the dockable window view, and using the select tool. I've goten pretty good with this method. It's slow but it works. And if you have tracks out of view you can keep draging and the Acid view will start to scroll to bring tracks into view to be selected.

You can also insert a time selection at a cursor point, and using ripple edits will slide everything over to make room for new stuff.

Well, just a few thoughts,

See ya, Rockit
