Subject:Rendering of Loop Regions

Hi.
I just purchased Acid Music Studio 8 (actually it was Imagination Studio Suite 2 which contains that program). I'm still learning how to use the program but I've come across an irritating glitch.I record a track from my guitar and pick out a spot in the middle to create a loop I want to save as an indiviual file. I meticulously set the loop boundaries to exactly where I want them and listen to the loop over and over to be sure it's edited perfectly where I want it. I then render the loop to create the new file containing just that loop. When I load it for playback I'm finding that the program has clipped off portions at the beginning and end ever so slightly as to make it unusable. Has anyone else run into this problem, or am I doing something wrong.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this issue.

Are you using the "render to new track" feature (Ctrl + M is the keyboard shortcut)? Don't render as MP3 as it introduces bits of silence at the beginning and end of the file. (Nothing can be done about it either as it's inherent to the format.) Save as WAV instead.

HTH,
Iacobus

Not having used ms8 i'm not sure if "quick fade edges" is a feature in the preferences but if so I wonder if its selected/may be the culprit?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm rendering to new file as a .wav file. It's frustrating.
